wake and bake : the temperature at 4:20 this afternoon here in KC was a balmy 103 F. not sure where that fits in stoner theology but it sure is fucking hot.

Suburban Vinyl : hawthorne street records is releasing the vinyl version of Suburban Hymns to coincide with our November 17th show at the Empty Bottle (details still pending) and we're thrilled. these cats usually deal in a heavier currency than ours with bands like Pelican and Sweet Cobra, but we think we'll be a good fit there for vinyl stuffs. we'll be the Cardigans of that label, which ain't a bad thing. sans the hot chick in front.

le studio : it seems the dungeon in my basement has taken a dramatic turn for the much better with the addition of a badass new computer, monitors--audio and video, and several new nice microphones. eric's been hooking for extra money recently and it's really paid off nicely. he put all those 5's and 10's to good use here. thanks eric!

now it's time to make this rekkid. over 12 songs ready to put down to "tape". it could be more by the time we're done, you know how that goes. the entirety of the fall months will be spent making this sucker. the tunes are pretty great and definitely take us into new territory.

trying to explain to an engineer what's exactly in our heads has been a daunting task recently, so we're just taking it into our own hands. here's hoping we know when it's done. salut!
